Ella in The Bronx

Today was a great day to be a mom. It was Auntie Dana and Human Bear day. I got to stay at the house ALONE while these two went out to see some critters. The Bronx Zoo was on the agenda for today and zoos just don't really do it for me so I was happy to send them on their way!

Riding a carousel was on the list of things to do so I'm so glad she got it done here! They were bugs instead of horses because of the zoo exhibit they were in...love it!

Not scary at all

Apparently, even after all of this, they said they only saw a small portion of the zoo! There's so much to see and I heard that it was a fun zoo to go to...I will trust them:)

I got to go on an hour long walk around Yonkers with no idea where I was going. At one point, I was over the interstate to head to NY (this could be my only chance of escape!) and then I ran into The Valentine Homestead. I have since learned that is a place George Washington used as his headquarters during various parts of the revolution. Who knew? Found it!
