Denver, Where ELA Teachers Go to Visit Old Students

The Colorado Welcome Center may be the best we've seen as far as nature goes! We all made sure to breathe the air and touch the grass. Full on hippie mode over here after being in the car for so many days.
We ran into our friend with the Car Art again! I love road trips because of all of the random connections you make along the way, the things you learn and the experiences that last a lifetime in your memories...not to mention I'm not following the artist on IG and Facebook so we are forever connected (at least until the changing of social medias!).
We were starving as we rolled into Denver so we picked an awesome Thai restaurant. The human Bear has been a champ with the food choices we are making so we let her pick dinner...you'll have to wait for that adventure!
Jason hasn't missed a workout yet and we've gotten to see what other YMCAs are like around the country. He's killing it with his lifting:)
Get ready for one of the BEST cameos...Y'all know I love my Teroy!
The human Bear hasn't been to Chili's in years and Teroy loves it so that's how we ended up here. How do we end up at Walk-Ons and Chili's on a road trip you ask? We realized that we eat so clean at home and rarely go out that the human Bear has been waiting for all of these chains for vacation. We may have to work on that so we can hit local places up on trips in the future.
After that dinner, we needed a walk. There are so many nice community additions everywhere we have been. Great walking trails and beautiful scenery.
Day 2 - Let's Get Together, yeah, yeah, yeah!
Before our trip, I was able to get in touch with the human Bear's 5th grade ELA teacher! She lives in Denver so we had a great lunch with the whole crew. I love that it was two sets of teachers and their old students turned friends. We love you Mrs. Roberts! JUST realizing y'all have the same last name. How fun is that?
We were told we had a must stop place to grab a muffin. In usual Bear fashion, she finds wax candy she wants to try and I hear the man at the register say, "I just can't bear to charge you." So, she said she would use her own money for that and then got it covered. haha She manifests everything!

I think we enjoyed our connections SO much that we didn't have as many quotes this week. Here are a few pics rolling out of Denver to break up the answers.
I can respect all people and their choices but Buc-ee's is just not for me. I know I just disappointed many of you out there but it is my truth! I'm not one to stand in the way of other's enjoyment, but I DID have to fix my attitude while these two checked it out.
